The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have once again granted the public a sneak peek at their lives inside the Kensington palace. In a series of pictures released by the Royal couple, fans and admirers of the family have been given a special treat in the form of the sweet, adorable, and endearing Prince George.
The 17-month-old Royal baby is clearly shown to be growing healthily and happily-away from the public scrutiny brought about by the status of his family. Despite the intense media glare directed at the Royal family, it has been a well-known fact that Prince William and Kate Middleton sought the understanding of the press to allow their son to grow up without being hounded by them. In turn, the Royal couple promised to update the media of any relevant occurrence in the child's life.
Although the Duke and Duchess revealed no information regarding the reason behind the release of the photos, it is widely believed that the pictures symbolized their gratitude for the respect given by the media to their earlier plea. The three pictures of Prince George composed the second batch of photos of the toddler shared by the Royal family to the public. The first batch had been during his first birthday in July 22 this year.
The request came following an incident with a paparazzi who reportedly attempted to take pictures of Prince George with his nanny while the two were playing in a park in London. This prompted a lawyer from the Royal family to issue a warning against the photographer, seeking his cooperation in their desire to allow their child to grow up without his every move being broadcasted by the media. Since then, only photographers appointed to cover official events were permitted to take pictures of the toddler.
The latest pictures, which were taken by Ed Lane Fox- the private secretary of Prince Harry who had previously worked as a professional freelance photographer- shows the young Prince George wearing a dark blue sleeveless jumper, white top, and dark socks and shoes. The design plastered across the jumper features marching Coldstream Guardsmen wearing bearskin hats and red tunics-similar to those designated to guard his grandmother.
With more than 36,000 reposts via the social networking site Twitter within the first 24 hours following its official release to the public, Prince George has undoubtedly become a trending topic among social media users.
