Following the release of the innovative Surface Pro 3 slate, Microsoft is expected to release the forthcoming Surface Pro 4, which will reportedly hit the market in two different variants.
According to Design & Trend, the forthcoming Surface Pro 4 will be made available in two models that have different screen size. The larger one may feature a 14-inch screen and potentially offer a 2160 x 1440p resolution. The other one, which may be called as the Surface Pro 4 Mini, may come with an 8-inch screen but with a less snappy resolution.
With an entirely enhanced tablet lineup, the new pair of hybrids is expected to run the upcoming Windows 10 platform. With a beta version already been made available, Microsoft's latest OS will have an official release this year, possibly in the fourth quarter with no specific dates announced yet.
As the Surface Pro 4 is likely to set higher standards in terms of features and overall performance, its hardware specifications will reportedly include the new Core M Broadwell processors from Intel, which will enable users to save up on energy.
However, such processors may not be powerful enough to outperfrom the processors integrated into the current Surface Pro 3. As such, it has been suggested that the Surface Pro 4 may be less pricey.
Despite the lack of information on pricing, The Telegraph claimed that the Surface Pro 4 may be launched with a price between $1,000 and $2,000 which may be good enough alongside the current price of its predecessor that ranges between $800 to $1,550.
In terms of the other features and specs of the upcoming tablet-laptop along with the price and release date, Microsoft is still expected to announce the official details.
Looking back into the launching of the previous Surface Pro 3 devices, Microsoft obtained mixed responses after it released the first ever Surface Pro device. In contrast, the launching of its successor -- the Surface Pro 2 -- proved to be more successful as it gained more positive reviews.
