Android 5.0 Lollipop Update for HTC Devices: Latest Schedule Leaked

The schedule for the official Android 5.0 Lollipop update for HTC devices  has reportedly been leaked online. A timeline has been provided as to when the Android OS update will be rolling out to HTC smartphones.

With HTC already beginning to incorporate the Lollipop update into its flagship HTC One M8, the One M7 and more devices will be having a taste of the next rollout as well.

As the company increased its emphasis on the use of premium materials to improve its designs, HTC was able to develop and unveil the HTC One M7 in 2013. The device came with an anonized aluminum unibody case as well as a curved rear which gave users a great feel in the hand.

Consequently, the HTC One M7 increasingly gained popularity and became one of the top-ranking smartphones in 2013, thereby marking the comeback of HTC in the smartphone market. Another device, the HTC One M8, was also introduced last year and was recognized as one of the best smartphones in 2014.

With HTC's plan to roll out the Lollipop update to the One M8 and M7, other HTC smartphones are also expected to get such improvements. According to reports, update for HTC One E8, Desire Eye, One M8 Eye and Butterfly 2 will likely roll out in February.

On the other hand, the HTC One Max phablet, HTC One M7 Dual-Sim, Desire 816, Desire 820u, one M8 Mini, One E8 (China) and One M8 Eye (China) will allegedly get the Android 5.0 Lollipop update in March.

The HTC Desire 610, Desire 820s, Desire 510 and the original HTC One Mini owners could also take advantage of the update either in March or early April.

However, these details regarding about the possible update on HTC devices are only leaked information. HTC has yet to make an official announcement regarding its timeline for the release of the Android 5.0 Lollipop for its smartphones aside from the HTC One M8 and One M7.
