Beatrice "Tris" Prior and Tobias "Four" Eaton need to keep their wits about them as Erudite leader Jeanine Matthews and her forces are out to get them in the second Divergent installment, shared by The Daily Mail.
In the new Insurgent trailer released, which is one minute and 10 seconds long, Tris, played by actress Shailene Woodley, cut off her long locks and got ready for battle. Her gorgeous beau, Four played by British actor Theo James, remains loyally by her side as he told her, "It's time we fight back together."
There are some tender moments shared by Tris and Four too, which means that their relationship will only continue to grow despite the turmoil they are facing.
The trailer showed a lot of pivotal scenes from the new movie, including the steely resolve of Jeanine, played by Kate Winslet, to capture all Divergents, whom she considers a big threat to society.
"Kill them both," Jeanine said chillingly.
But Tris is not going to take the fight lying down. There are glimpses of the intense face-off between Tris and Jeanine, with the main character breaking through cable barriers and smashing through a glass wall, and Tris is seen possibly falling to her death.
There are also chase scenes and gun battles shown in the trailer.
Some scenes featuring Tris' brother Caleb Prior, who is played by Ansel Elgort, can be also seen in the trailer.
"You are living proof the Divergent problem has grown beyond all control," Caleb told his sister. The statement made by Caleb is contrary to another delivered by him in the trailer, which probably means that the Erudite boy is acting as a double agent.
"You are the key, Tris, to rescue what little civilisation we have left," Caleb told her.
Other characters from the first movie will also be back in Insurgent. The smug Peter Hayes played by Miles Teller was also seen in the trailer saying, "No pressure."
Both Divergent and Insurgent are based on Veronica Roth's bestselling series. The first movie, which was shown last March raked in $290 million in the box office. Insurgent is slated to hit theatres this March 20 and hopes to carry out, if not beat the original movie's success.
There will also be a two-part film based on the final book Allegiant, and these will be released with part one due out on March 2016 and the final part scheduled for release in March 2017.
