The driver of the lead car in the four-vehicle pileup last weekend in Malibu finally broke her silence regarding the incident through a statement given to her attorney who claimed that Bruce Jenner hit his client's car, according to the Los Angeles Times.
According to the allegations of the driver of the Toyota Prius, Jessica Steindorff, Jenner's Cadillac Escalade rear-ended the white Lexus, which caused the latter to rear-end her car as well. The impact of the crash caused by Jenner's vehicle pushed the Lexus into the approaching traffic.
This statement given by the driver's lawyer, Robert Simon, was in opposition with the earlier reports provided by the investigating officials, who elucidated that Jenner's car was hit by another vehicle prior to its crashing into the white Lexus.
Simon disclosed that the 29-year-old was on her way to a meeting in Zuma Beach when the tragic incident happened on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu. Although these claims contradicted those earlier stated by the police, a source from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department revealed that there are witnesses who can confirm the veracity of Steindorff's statements.
Preliminary investigation on the drivers involved in the crash revealed that Steindorff has a suspended license since 2013. However, her lawyer claimed that the suspension of her license was not known to the driver. The suspension came after Steindorff failed to appear in court to attend to a speeding ticket violation. Meanwhile, Kim Howe, the driver who died, was driving with an expired license since 2007.
In an earlier report, it was disclosed that the former husband of celebrity manager and reality TV show star Kris Jenner was involved in a car crash that damaged at least four vehicles and took the life of one of the victims. The driver who passed away due to this tragedy was a 69-year-old woman. She was driving the second car in the pile-up, and smashed into the oncoming traffic when Jenner's car rear-ended her.
Apart from getting rear-ended, Howe crashed head-on with an incoming vehicle heading to the opposite direction, a Hummer H2. At the moment, the identity of the person driving the Hummer remains unknown to the public.
