Here are some of the best dressed for the night:
Anna Kendrick
The "Pitch Perfect" star donned a coral Thakoon gown with a jewel-encrusted collar. Kendrick received an Oscar nomination for the musical "Into the Woods."
Jennifer Lopez
JLo was a stunner in her elegant nude-colored Ellie Saab gown. The singer-actress also snapped a selfie with "Oscar Legend" Meryl Streep. Lopez posted the selfie on Instagram, with the caption, "MERYL STREEP #oscars #oscarlegend #needsomeofthatoscarjuju lol."
Dakota Johnson
Johnson rocked a red hot Yves Saint Laurent gown at the Oscars red carpet. And yes, we had a hard time looking away.
Keira Knightley
A fairy tale ending was all that was missing in Knightley's Valentino gown. The fact that everything else was toned down made the dress all dreamy and princess-like. We just loved it.
All these just make the year-long wait for the Oscars worth the while.
