Actor Irrfan Khan, who will portray Simon Masrani in the film Jurassic World teased that the dinosaur Indominus Rex will give audiences a "strange feeling."
Speaking to the Bollywood Hungama, Khan shared some details about his role in the highly anticipated dinosaur film. He said that his character Masrani is the CEO of a global company that owns the dinosaur theme park at Isla Nublar, and even described his character as an "enterprising businessman" who owns several businesses around the world.
Khan gushed about the movie and said that he loved working with director Colin Trevorrow in Jurassic World.
According to the actor, there were robotic dinosaurs specifically built for previous Jurassic Park movies, but this time around, they only used computer graphics to make the dinosaurs appear more true-to-life.
However, the new dinosaur Indominus Rex is a different case entirely. It was built by the producers rather than using computer graphics, and he confirmed that the new hybrid dinosaur will be definitely "scary."
"There is something strange" about the new dinosaur, he let on, and this new menace will undoubtedly "give you a strange feeling."
Though it closely resembles a T-Rex, the Indominus Rex is far more menacing since it is considered "the most fearsome dinosaur ever to be displayed at Jurassic World."
Its name means fierce and untameable king, and the dinosaur has an extremely high aggression index. Its roar can reach 140-160 decibels, somewhat similar to the sound created by a 747 as it takes off and lands.
The Jurassic World movie will also star Chris Pratt, Twilight actress Bryce Dallas Howard, Judy Greer, Ty Simpkins, and Jake Johnson.
If Khan looks familiar, then he probably is. He has already appeared in the 2012 film The Amazing Spider-Man, although there were some scenes shot with him that did not make it to the movie. He hopes that things will be different in Jurassic World.
Khan clarified, however, that having scenes deleted is only normal and should not be taken personally by the actors, since producers have to be very tough in selecting the right scenes that will properly tell the story of the movie.
Still, Khan told his fans that he has more projects up in his sleeve and that he would be getting more screen time in the future.
Khan is expected to appear in new movie "The Wicked Path" and also in Inferno alongside big Hollywood actor Tom Hanks. Inferno is slated for release in 2016.
