Three men were apprehended in New York, after trying to join ISIS. One of them even agreed to kill U.S. President Barack Obama if he will be asked to, according to reports.
"This is real. This is the concern about the lone wolf inspired to act without ever going to the Middle East or the concern of once they get to the Mideast, acquire fighting skills, capabilities and then attempting to return to the country," NY Police Commissioner William Bratton told the media.
Akhror Saidakhmetov, 19, Abdurasul Hasanovich Juraboev, 24, and Abror Habibov, 30, provided terrorists with material support and were charged of conspiracy. The three Brooklyn locals hava allegedly planned to travel in hopes of joining the militant group. The trio had planned to travel to Turkey, and then to Syria to join ISIS, sources say.
The three men have also talked about domestic attacks should their travel plans fail, CBS2 has reported.
"Juraboev added that he would also plant a bomb on Coney Island if he was ordered to do so by ISIS," federal authorities said.
According to Saidakhmetov, if his plans of traveling to Syria does not happen, he "will just go out and buy a machine gun, AK-47, go out and shoot all police," a recorded conversation stated.
Juraboev, according to the complaint, had not only talked about killing President Obama, but have also mentioned about killing U.S. federal officers.
"Sometimes they worship and practice Islam, sometimes they do idolatry," Juraboev said about his family.
"My sisters are uncovered, lack knowledge of a religion. I wish they knew at least how to cover themselves up," he said.
Juraboev went on to say that President Obama is Allah's enemy and that he "will execute him." He also mentioned however, that he does not have the means to do it.
Habibov has appeared in a Florida court early Wednesday, while Juraboev and Saidakhmetov have both appeared in a Brooklyn federal court later the same day. The three were charged with conspiracy and attempt to provide terrorists with material support, and are held without bail.
