11 bit studios announced that the War Child Charity DLC for its game "This War of Mine" is now available.

The development studio mentioned that all of the proceeds collected from the content update will be donated to War Child, a non-profit organization that aims to help children who have been affected by violent conflicts.

The company made the announcement through the game's Steam page. Gamers have the option to purchase the DLC for $0.99, $9.99 and $19.99, according to Game Spot.

The different prices do not mean that the DLC comes in three versions with varying contents. Instead, the DLC is priced differently so gamers can choose how much they wish to donate to War Child.

As for the contents of the DLC, the update features street artworks crafted by contemporary artists.

"'This War of Mine' - War Child Charity DLC contains unique street art pieces made by artists from all over the world including: M-City, Gabriel 'Specter' Reese, SeaCreative, Emir Cerimovic, Fauxreel and Mateusz Walus," the studio wrote on the Steam page.

"You'll be able to find all of them in different places within 'This War of Mine,' building a unique in-game gallery," 11 bit studios added. "The compositions represent reflections on the human condition and the state of humanity during a time of war."

"This War of Mine" debuted in November of 2014 for the Microsoft Windows, Linux, iOS and OS X platforms.

Although the single-player game depicts war, it approaches the matter differently compared to other video games that have the same theme.

Instead of letting gamers take on the role of soldiers, "This War of Mine" is played through the perspectives of civilians who are caught between warring groups. The main objective of gamers is to survive by avoiding hostile forces, crafting useful tools and gathering food and water.

Players also have the option to share their resources with non-playable civilian characters or rob them.
