To celebrate the Appstore's fourth anniversary, Amazon is offering 34 paid apps and games to users for free.
The apps, which have a total worth of $105, can be downloaded for Kindle Fire and Android devices, according to NDTV.
Amazon's promo, dubbed as the Free App of the Day Bundle, was launched on Thursday. The online retail store did not specify when the offer will end but various sources are claiming that it will probably be available until Saturday or on Sunday, which marks the Appstore's anniversary.
Among the apps offered by Amazon are classic titles such as "Cut the Rope," "World of Goo," "HanDBase Database" and "OpenDocument Reader." As for the new entries, these include, "Slingshot Racing, "Cross DJ Pro," "Super Whyl" and "Unpossible," PC Mag reported.
Other highlights of the promo include "Guardians of the Galaxy: The Universal Weapon," which originally costs $2.99, and the $9.99 app "EasyTether."
"Five Nights at Freddy's 2," which is listed as one of the most downloaded paid apps, is also included in Amazon's bundle promo.
Kindle Fire users do not need to download the Appstore for their devices since it is already pre-installed. For those who own Android-powered devices, on the other hand, they will need to follow few simple steps in order to take advantage of Amazon's deal.
First, they need to verify if the Appstore can be downloaded to their devices by opening the Settings menu and checking the Unknown Sources option. From here, they can visit the Appstore page to download the program for their devices.
Once they have downloaded the Appstore, they can install and open it by tapping the AmazonApps-release.apk file from the notifications section.
Amazon first launched the Appstore on March 22, 2011. Back then, it only had a total of 4,084 Android apps and games. Now, the Appstore has expanded its list to feature over 400,000 apps.
