After six seasons of musical covers and even the loss of a leading man and dearly loved friend, the stars of "Glee' will finally say goodbye to the musical as the Fox series wraps up this Friday. The final episode of the show is expected to run for two hours and will warm the hearts of fans all over the world.
The two-hour finale will be aired weeks after the creators and cast members of "Glee' have said their goodbyes to the show and have chosen souvenirs from the set that they will keep for life as a reminder of finding strength, voice and all the other things that the Fox series has taught them.
"Glee' producers had let the stars pick out their favorite items from the set, with leading lady Lea Michele (Rachel) posting a photo on Twitter of a touching keepsake- a framed McKinley High football jersey owned by Finn (the late Cory Monteith).
"Over the past two years, we've all been able to take things that meant something to us and that was always very special to me," Michele shared. "I'm glad that they allowed me to keep it. "Glee' means the world to me; to try and put it all in one little sentence is too difficult."
The 28-year-old actress also revealed that the "Don't Stop Believin' cover from the show's pilot is her favorite music performance.
Meanwhile, the other "Glee' stars have also shared their favorite keepsakes from the set and the memories associated with these.
Jane Lynch, who plays Sue, has already kept three tracksuits which is most likely to be used in supporting the charities that she has committed to.
"I kept three tracksuits. So fitting because I'm the only one who fits in them!" the award-winning actress said jokingly.
For Darren Criss a.k.a. Blaine, the 28-year-old actor chose the McKinley High 2002 speech-and-debate trophy as well as other unconventional objects, including the red Styrofoam that served as soundproofing behind the choir room.
"I've been waiting forever to take Figgins' couch. It's this beautiful green leather couch that I took many naps on," Criss added.
Sharing Criss' preferences, Chord Overstreet (Sam) also kept "stuff from the locker room, some trophies, some photos from the choir room and some clothing items from certain numbers"; such clothing included the gold pants from "Rocky Horror' as well as a letterman jacket.
Michele is not the only "Glee' star who remains fond of the "Don't Stop Believin' performance as Amber Riley, who plays Mercedes, has already kept her Chucks that she used during this event.
Even Mark Salling (Puck) wants to keep Monteith's memories alive as he chose a keepsake that will strongly remind him of his co-star.
"I took a plaque that had Cory's picture on it and put it above my piano. I think that's a fitting spot," the 32-year-old actor shared.
The series finale of "Glee' will air this Friday at 8 p.m. on FOX.
