With "Hart of Dixie' star Jaime King being far along in her second pregnancy, the 35-year-old actress will not be taking it easy anytime soon thanks to her son, James Knight.
According to an interview with People Magazine at Just Jared's Throwback Thursday Party in Glendale, California, King shared that, as she keeps her 17-month-old baby company, much of her love, time and energy goes out to her firstborn son.
She also opened up about her sentiments on both her first and second pregnancy, referring to them both as "sacred" experiences.
"I can't forget that I have this child that's discovering new things and saying new words every day," the actress explained.
She also believes that her second pregnancy will be easier to handle this time, expressing her delight in the experience as she is able to reflect and gain insight. Despite knowing what to expect, King says that she still takes pleasure in the experience and calls it "deeply profound."
Although her first-born son has not even reached two years of age, King said that he has started to become conscious that he will be a big brother soon.
"He [James] put his hand all the way down to my belly and he goes, "Baby! Woahhhh.' I was like, "Oh my God,' because this kid has 10 words," King said. "The fact that he put that all together just blew my mind."
James has also reached several milestones as his mother happily shares that he has expanded his vocabulary and has been involved in cooking, which can be attributed to his celebrity godmother Jessica Alba's presents.
Even before nearing her due date, King has already chosen a godmother, who is also a celebrity, for her second child; it is none other than award-winning music artist Taylor Swift.
The actress explained that, in her family, choosing the right people to guide one's child is a very important decision. She described Taylor Swift as a thoughtful, kind and sincere individual who she believes will make an ideal godmother.
In keeping up with motherhood, her acting career and her collaborative efforts with Restoration Hardware and Cricket's Circle, King shared that she prefers to enjoy the comforts of her home.
Despite choosing to stay at home these days, the pregnant actress has actively spoken up against people who bully women on social media, especially those who are fond of body shaming. King has taken a stand against people's inappropriate behavior as they interact with others online. In an interview with ELLE Magazine, the model emphasized the importance of empowering other women and being open to flaws and weaknesses as opposed to being judgmental and overcritical.
