The Teenage Cancer Trust show at the famed Royal Albert Hall in London just celebrated its 15th anniversary this 2015 with a star-studded attendance.
All the stars who attended the landmark evening 15 years ago were back, with Noel Gallagher, Paul Weller, and Kelly Jones joining the popular band The Who on stage for a performance, Look to the Stars reported.
They were joined by fellow artists and comedians including Van Morrison, Tom Jones, Ronnie Wood, Wilko Johnson, Kevin Bridges, Noel Fielding, and Frank Turner, among many others.
The Teenage Cancer Trust has been in operation for 24 years, and they have an incredible team of staff and volunteers who go out of their way to inspire people with cancer through their outreach services.
According to the Teenage Cancer Trust, around seven young people aged between 13 and 24 are diagnosed with cancer every day in the United Kingdom, and they need expert treatment and support from the moment they hear the word "cancer" because people suffering from the illness need emotional support as well as physical treatment.
"We're the only charity dedicated to making this happen," it said.
And for the past 15 years, the Teenage Cancer Trust raises funds to boost their outreach services through the annual concert series at the Royal Albert Hall. Their patron Roger Daltrey helps by bringing together top artists and comedians from around the world, and so far they have managed to raise over 20 million pounds to help support young people with cancer.
Aside from the names mentioned above, other acts who donated their talents and services to the Teenage Cancer Trust are the Stereophonics with guest star Gaz Coombes, Kevin Bridges with special guests Jon Richardson, Kerry Godliman, Doc Brown, and Frankie Boyle.
They also had Wilko Johnson, Johnny Marr, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds with special guests Future Islands, Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls plus guest star Idlewild.
They also had several notable sponsors, including American Airlines, Ben Sherman, Derwent London, E.ON, and Tangle Teezer. They were supported by media partners Absolute Radio, Metro, and NME.
"We're really lucky to have fantastic celebrity supporters who're all committed to helping Teenage Cancer Trust raise awareness of the issues affecting young people with cancer. We work with celebrities across the music, comedy, sport and entertainment and are so grateful for the time they take to support our work," said the Teenage Cancer Trust.
