'Dancing With The Stars' Season 20: Who Was Sent Home In Week 5?

The fifth week of Dancing With The Stars Season 20 proved to be yet another exciting installment of the widely popular dance competition. Fans and followers of the show have been constantly treated to spectacular performances and this week's episode once again featured memorable numbers by the contestants. Working on a Disney theme, the celebrities and dance pros wowed the viewers and judges.

As with any other competition, only one pair can emerge victorious in this show. Hence, Monday saw yet another departure of one of the couples in the contest. For this week, three pairs were announced to be I jeopardy, namely, Suzanne Somers and pro Tony Dovolani, Chris Soules and pro Witney Carson, and Patti LaBelle and pro Artem Chigvintsev, according to TV Line.

Scoring a mere 28, Somers and Dovolani's jazz performance to the tune of He's A Tramp from the blockbuster film The Lady and The Tramp appeared to have fallen short of the expectations. While the dance routine was good for the most part, the entire number lacked the energy and charisma that could have been Somers' comeback performance. Another thing was noticeably missing form their performance: charisma.

Soules and Carson have been consistently placed at the bottom of the pack and this week was no different. Garnering a 27 for their 'Hercules' quickstep number, which featured the hit single From Zero to Hero, the two had one of the lowest judges' score for this round, beating only Robert Herjavec and Kym Johnson who scored 24 for their "Mary Poppins" quickstep routine. While some fans wonder how Soules achieved a higher score than Herjavec in this round, others attribute this to his charm and well-toned physique.

LaBelle and Chigvintsev also joined The Bachelor star and his pro dance partner in the bottom three. Apart from this similarity, both pairs also scored 27 in their last performance. Although the duo's waltz number that featured When You Wish Upon A Star from Pinocchio failed to thoroughly impress the judges, their routine remained one of the most heartwarming performances of the night. In addition to the emotions that the two clearly showed in their number, fans could not get enough of the 70-year-old LaBelle.

Excitement filled the studio when LaBelle and Chigvintsev were announced safe. In the end, it appears that the charm and charisma of Soules won over more hearts than Somers. Hence, Week 5 saw the departure of Somers and Dovolani from Dancing With The Stars Season 20.
