Following the recent debacle he was involved in Coachella 2015, Justin Bieber once again made the news. This time, however, the piece of news linked to the Canadian pop star is bound to bring a smile to the faces of readers both online and offline. According to E! News, Bieber along with Ariana Grande, Kendall Jenner, Lance Bass, and some of their friends uploaded a video featuring them lip syncing to Carla Rae Jepson's hit single, "I Really Like You."
In a YouTube video that went viral moments after it went online, various artists were featured having fun and fooling around while lip syncing the catchy tune of Jepson's newest song. Apart from the aforementioned artists that even included the ex-N'Sync member Bass, the video also featured Grande's brother, Frankie Grande. Bryshere Y. Gray, who goes by the stage name Yazz The Greatest, and also plays Hakeem Lyon in the widely popular Fox primetime series Empire as well as Kimberly Nichole, a contestant in the hit singing competition, The Voice, were in the clip as well.
"Life goals. I really really really really really really like this video," shared Frankie on YouTube. "And Justin. And Ariana. And Carly. And did I mention I'm in a video with Justin. Oh yeah. I'm dead," he added.
The hit single's popularity was boosted following the participation of none other than Tom Hanks in Jepson's music video. Asked on how he feels regarding the success and viral status of the clip online, the multi-awarded actor said, "I'm telling you, it was just all like a fluke." He went on to delve into the manner by which his inclusion in the video came about.
"I didn't know it was Carly Rae Jepsen," Hanks admitted in an interview during the An Evening of Serious Fun gala in New York. "They were like, 'Would you like to do Carly's video?' And I said, 'Yeah, sure!' And then I found out later the whole name," the actor stated. He also shared that Jepson is a "nice girl" and they "had a good time" creating the video.
Hanks was also asked how much he was paid for his appearance in the video. "One word: gratis," the actor teased. "I received no remuneration for it. I got a free sandwich at lunchtime, that was about it. No complaints," he added.
