LG has released a new teaser video for the upcoming G4 smartphone to show of the mobile device's screen.
According to the video, the G4 sport a QHD IPS Quantum Display that greatly enhances the quality of images, NDTV reported.
LG began the clipwith the question "Do you think all the QHD displays are the same?"
The company then claimed that through the G4's IPS display, the company's upcoming flagship smartphone will be 25 percent brighter and will have a wider color range by 20 percent compared to other devices currently in the market, according to Tech Radar.
Weeks before the video's release, LG released various details regarding the G4 and its IPS display. According to the company, the upcoming device's screen will feature an improved color scope as well as better contrast ratio.
Aside from its display, LG noted that the smartphone will have power-saving options and will use Advanced In-Cell Touch technology for a more responsive touch screen function.
Previous leaks from the company also suggest that the LG G4 will have a 5.5-inch display with 1440x2560p resolution. Its 16-megapizel rear camera is will also be equipped with laser autofocus and LED flash.
As for its operating system, LG will most likely utilize the Android Lollipop-based LG UX 4.0 for the G4 since it is scheduled to be unveiled on April 28, the same date as the smartphone's launch.
"LG UX 4.0 is a simple and intuitive UX to everyone, as well as easy-to-use, features that provide a high level of functionality as a specialized unit through the user settings," LG explained in a blog post as translated by NDTV.
The 46-second video focused only on the smartphone's screen and did not show the entire design of the G4. However, based on the clip, the G4's design looks strikingly similar to the images previously leaked through the company's micro website.
In the site, LG teased that the G4 will come in either a bare plastic casing or with a rear shell covered in leather.
