New 'Jurassic World' Trailer Unveils Hybrid Dinosaur to Rival the Classic T-Rex

The latest trailer for "Jurassic World' was released this week, giving fans a first glimpse of the new hybrid dinosaur that has been put forth to rival the classic T-Rex.

The trailer begins with a shot of Owen Grady, a behavioral researcher portrayed by Chris Pratt, as he looks over his Velociraptors named Blue, Charlie, Delta and Echo. He is shown with Bryce Dallas Howard's character, Claire Dearing, as the two go over the details about the dinosaurs.

The clip briefly shows viewers about what they can expect from the plot, including the decline of the number of visitors who visit the park operated by the Masrani Global Corporation on the Central American island Isla Nublar, which then leads to scientists developing the Indominus Rex, a hybrid dinosaur.

However, the plan backfires and things go out of hand; instead of becoming a new attraction, the terrifying Rex sets off on a rampage which Pratt should help stop.

"Jurassic World' is the fourth movie to from the "Jurassic Park' series, to hit cinemas 14 years after "Jurassic Park 3' was released in 2001. The movie was already slated to begin production in 2004 but delays were experienced as the script was re-written multiple times.

The first trailer for "Jurassic World' was unveiled in November and has already been viewed over 56 million times; a shorter clip for the dinosaur sequel was released during the Super Bowl event in February.

Aside from Pratt ("Guardians of the Galaxy', "Parks and Recreation') and Howard ("Spider-Man 3', "The Help'), other cast members include Judy Greer ("Arrested Development'), Omar Sy ("X-Men: Days of Future Past') and Ty Simpkins ("Insidious').

Steven Spielberg, who helmed the first two movies in the franchise, joined "Jurassic World' as executive producer. Colin Trevorrow took on the director's chair and co-wrote the script alongside Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver and Rick Connolly.

Last year, Trevorrow dropped hints about possible "Jurassic World' sequels, stating: "We wanted to create something that would be a little bit less arbitrary and episodic, and something that could potentially arc into a series that would feel like a complete story."

"Jurassic World' comes to cinemas on June 12. In the meantime, the latest trailer can be viewed below.
