British royal baby number two is a stunning daughter. Princess Kate Middleton and Prince William stood at St. Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London for a royal introduction for the press on Saturday morning. Her royal infant highness shares her birthdate with legendary soccer player David Beckham.
"Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a daughter at 8.34am," tweeted Kensington Palace on its official Twitter account.
The new princess is healthy and weighs at eight lbs. Her royal baby highness donned a white crocheted bonnet and a white GH Hurt and Son Ltd. pattern shawl. She will leave the hospital on Saturday evening.
"Incredible news. I couldn't be happier for William and Kate. Happy to hear that mother and daughter are fine. It's not a bad day to be born," posted Beckham on Facebook.
What are the odds that her Royal Highness would be born on the same date as legendary soccer (football) player David Beckham? It seems that David Beckham and the newborn British Royal baby have much in common. They are both British, reside in London, and were born on May 2. Princess Kate was admitted into the hospital at 10:39 p.m. on Friday, May 1. Prince William and Princess Kate left Kensington Palace by car. William was present during the birth.
