London-based telecom company Vodafone has unveiled its latest low-cost devices with 4G capabilities.
A day after the launch of its Smart Prime 6 smartphone, Vodafone debuted the Tab Prime 6, Tech Radar reported.
Vodafone's newest tablet was manufactured in partnership with Alcatel. It features a 9.6-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels. It sports 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front shooter.
The device is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor from Qualcomm and is equipped with 1GB of RAM. The tablet runs on a 4600mAh battery with saving features that can extend its life by up to 90 minutes.
Although it only has 8GB of internal storage, the device has microSD support that can carry up to 32GB. In addition, Vodafone is offering 6GB of free data for those who will purchase the £150-package ($228) of the Tab Prime 6. However, owners must use up this free data within one month.
For its monthly package, users can get 1GB of data a month after settling an initial payment of £19 or around $28. The succeeding monthly payments will cost £17 or roughly $25.
This month, Vodafone is planning to release a second version of the tablet, which is the Tab Prime 6 Keyboard Edition. This variant bundles the tablet with mini keyboard, Android Central has learned.
Vodafone's other device, the Smart Prime 6 also comes with 4G connectivity and sports a 5-inch HD IPS display. It comes with the 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 and has 1GB of RAM, according to Engadget.
The smartphone has 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded to 64GB using a microSD card. It also features an 8-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
Vodafone's latest smartphone can be purchased for a one-time payment of £79 or $120. Its monthly contract package costs £17.
Both the Tab Prime 6 and the Smart Prime 6 are loaded with the Android 5.0 Lollipop.
