Marvel Studios has begun its camera work on "Captain America: Civil War' at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta, Georgia. Aside from shooting in Atlanta, the production will be headed to Germany, Iceland and Puerto Rico as well.
Scheduled for an official release in the United States on May 6, 2016, the third installment of the superhero franchise is helmed by Anthony and Joe Russo, who also worked on "Captain America: The Winter Soldier' and "Community.'
Based on a screenplay written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, "Captain America: Civil War' will have Chris Evans once more as the superhero character Steve Rogers aka Captain America.
Evans will be joined by Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark (Iron Man), Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow), Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes (Winter Soldier), Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson (Falcon), Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton (Hawkeye), Don Cheadle as Jim Rhodes (War Machine), Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch) and Paul Bettany as The Vision.
After his appearance in Marvel's "Ant-Man', which has been set for a release on July 17, 2015, Paul Rudd will also be appearing together with the Avengers as he portrays Scott Lang (Ant-Man) in "Captain America: Civil War.'
Rounding up the hero-filled cast are Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa (Black Panther), Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter (Agent 13), Daniel Brühl as Baron Helmut Zemo, Frank Grillo as Brock Rumlow (Crossbones), William Hurt as General Thaddeus Ross (Thunderbolt) and Martin Freeman, who was recently announced to have the joined the cast for a role that is yet to be revealed.
The story of "Captain America: Civil War' continues from where "Avengers: Age of Ultron' ended, as Steve Rogers enlists the new team of Avengers and carries out their mission to protect humanity.
Following another incident that leads to collateral damage, the international government finally calls for a new system of accountability to ascertain as to when the superheroes' help is needed. Such decisions bring on an adverse impact on the Avengers as they carry on with their mission in protecting the world from a new villain.
