The upcoming film in the Fast and Furious franchise, Fast and Furious 8, has prompted many fans and followers of the movie to speculate on the possible turn of events especially in light of the absence of one the show's lead actors, Paul Walker. While the announcement of its release date had been confirmed by executive producer and lead star Vin Diesel earlier this year, not much has been said about the possible plot the story will follow this time around, according to Vine Report.
Meanwhile, one of the most exciting news regarding the upcoming project is the potential involvement of Cody Walker. "(His acting career) is in its beginning stages. He's open to all types of roles," stated manager Matt Luber to the New York Daily News. "I'm not sure if they are going to make an eighth movie, but if they did, I'm sure he would entertain a conversation (about a role)," the manager added.
As for other characters, another actress expressed interest in joining the flick. Helen Mirren, the ultimate English lady villain, said to ET Online that she has "always wanted to be in a Fast and Furious movie but they've never asked me." She added, "I don't understand why!" Mirren then jokingly said, "Vin, get your act together!"
"It means a lot to me to get your blessing. We were giddy and excited. You all gave me so much confidence. There was so much love," Diesel said following the announcement of the upcoming project. He also revealed that Fast and Furious 8 had been the late Walker's idea which he discussed with Diesel before the former's untimely demise.
"Furious 7 was for Paul; 8 is from Paul," Diesel shared during the announcement. He then went on to guarantee the public of the quality of the upcoming flick despite the loss the team suffered recently. "I swear to you and my brother upstairs, we are going to make the best movie you've ever seen," Diesel said, referring to their dedication to helm what could possibly be the best installment in the Fast and Furious franchise.
