Samsung is not going to let Apple win this year, that's for sure. While the Galaxy Tab S is already a strong competition against Apple's iPad, images of the "Samsung Galaxy Tab S2" have been leaked online.
According to Sam Mobile, the South Korean gadget manufacturer will be coming up with a tablet that is slimmer than the iPad Air. Three months ago, the site also reported that the next Galaxy Tab will use premium materials to give it a more high-end look and feel.
Apart from its sleek exterior, the new tablet is also expected to be equipped with a 32GB ROM, 3GB RAM, 64-bit Exynos mobile processor, will run on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and will also have a micro SD slot.
The display is also something worth bragging about, which will be at 2048 x 1536 pixels, which is at par with the iPad Air. The Galaxy Tab S2 will also be equipped with Cat. 6 LTE (300Mbps), Samsung's very own modem.
The 8-inch tablet will measure 198.2 × 134.5 × 5.4 mm, and will weigh a mere 260 grams. There will also be a 9-inch model, which measures 237.1 x 168.8 x 5.44 mm and weighs 407 grams, according to sources.
The new gadget will feature an 8MP rear camera and a front-facing one that comes at 2.1 MP.
According to rumors, Apple's biggest rival will most likely release its new tablet this coming June. As for the price, it might cost around $399, according to TechRadar.
Although the South Korean company has reported a $4.63 trillion net profit for the first quarter of 2015, it is still 39% less from what it earned last year, which was $7.49 trillion, Tech Crunch reported. The competition is also tighter with Apple launching its first phablet last year, which affected the company's phablet sales.
But there is nothing to worry about as Samsung still tops the ShareTweet
