As the season finale of 'Dancing With The Stars Season 20' draws nearer, fans and followers of the show are treated to even more spectacular performances from the celebrities and their pro partners. Apart from the remarkable talent showcased in the show, however, viewers are also granted the opportunity to take a sneak peek at the personal lives and emotional journeys of the stars. In Monday night's episode, Rumer Willis managed to not only share her personal growth experience but also expose the soft side of her father, Bruce Willis, according to People.
While paying tribute to her professional dance partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, Rumer broke down to tears. She shared that Val has given her the chance to achieve something against all odds. "I was so scared my whole life to try anything or to fail," Rumer disclosed in the video. "And you didn't let me [fail]," she added.
The DWTS finalist then went on to admit, I have never really had anyone who believes in me like that." Throughout the season, Val has been featured exerting all his efforts into helming perfect performances with Rumer week after week. "I love and care for her abilities to too much to ever let her slide on anything," the pro dancer shared, referring to his adamant refusal to let Demi Moore's daughter rest on her laurels. He added, "My hardass-ness comes from that. Every moment I have to encourage her to push to be the best that she can."
Meanwhile, Rumer's family members were once again present in the audience. To say that her parents are extremely proud of her appears to be an understatement. However, it was during Monday night's performance when her dad, Bruce, was seen visibly reduced to tears as he watched her dance to Britney Spears' 'Toxic.'
"Look at this cutie tearing up from my insanely magical [sister's] dance. We are all so proud of you Rue," Tallullah, one of Rumer's sisters, posted on Instagram. Even the show's co-host, Erin Andrews, pointed out the emotions pouring out following the finalist's performance.
She said, "Your dad was in absolute tears in that audience, Die Hard baby, Die Hard, that's amazing."
Apart from her family, Rumer has a number of A-list celebrities campaigning for her victory this season. US Weekly reports that Demi and Bruce are joined by the former's ex-beau, Ashton Kutcher, in rooting for Rumer. Even Miley Cyrus, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Sofia Vergara are actively campaigning for her to take home the crown in DWTS Season 20.
