Swedish actress Alicia Vikander is reportedly in final negotiations to join two upcoming films- the adaptation of the video game "Assassin's Creed' and the new "Bourne' movie.
Deadline has already offered details on how Vikander landed with these acting gigs, stating: "there's still some work to do to get the schedules aligned but it appears likely that, whatever happens with those two projects, Vikander is likely to drop off "The Circle.'"
Starring Tom Hanks, "The Circle' is based on Dave Eggers' novel and is reportedly offering Emma Watson from the "Harry Potter' movies to take on the young female lead role.
As for Vikander, she will be joining Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard in the "Assassin's Creed' movie.
Released by 20th Century Fox and Ubisoft Motion Pictures, the upcoming film adaptation will be helmed by Justin Kurzel and has been set to begin filming this August to meet its official release on Dec. 21, 2016.
Co-financed by RatPac and Alpha Pictures, producers include Frank Marshall, Arnon Milchan, Jean-Julien Baronnet, Conor McCaughan, Fassbender and Pat Crowley.
"Assassin's Creed' will be developed based on the script written by Bill Collage, Adam Cooper and Michael Lesslie.
The highly popular video game has already sold over 91 million units.
Meanwhile, the new "Bourne' film has already been set to hit cinemas on July 29, 2016. In this project, Vikander will star alongside Matt Damon, who will be working with director Paul Greengrass once again.
Both Damon and Greengrass will be writing the screenplay together with Christopher Rouse; the duo will also produce the film along with Gregory Goodman and Frank Marshall.
Vikander is expected to enjoy a flourishing career after signing on several more films, such as "The Man From U.N.C.L.E', which also stars Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer.
The Swedish star also appears on Tom Hooper's bio drama film "The Danish Girl' with Eddie Redmayne and Amber Heard as well as John Wells' comedy drama film "Adam Jones' with Jamie Dornan, Bradley Cooper and Sienna Miller.
The 26-year-old actress makes an appearance on the Weinstein Co.'s "Tulip Fever' in which she will take on the female leading role; it also stars Judi Dench and Cara Delevingne, among others.
Aside from the "Assassin's Creed' movie, Vikander will also star alongside Michael Fassbender for Derek Cianfrance's "The Light Between Oceans' based on the novel of the same title written by M. L. Stedman.
