After six character posters were released earlier this week, Paramount Pictures has now unveiled the new "Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation' trailer.
In the upcoming "Rogue Nation' movie, Ethan Hunt and the team undertake their most impossible mission yet, which means getting rid of the Syndicate - an international rogue organization whose goal is to destroy the IMF.
The movie was originally scheduled for a release in December, but has already been set for the last weekend of July, which is the same weekend in which Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy' premiered last year. As such, Tom Cruise and the rest of the cast are expected to make an early comeback in cinemas this year as the fifth "Mission: Impossible' installment is set for a debut on July 31, 2015.
Helmed by Christopher McQuarrie, "Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation' will see the return of other actors who will be reprising their roles, such as Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell, Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn, and Jeremy Renner as William Brandt. New cast members have also been announced for "Mission: Impossible 5', including Alec Baldwin who will portray the CIA chief and Chinese actress Zhang Jingchu who has been set to take on a major part in the film.
"The Borgias" actor Sean Harris was also confirmed to play the role of the film's main villain. With an earlier premiere, "Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation' will also be able to distance itself from "Spectre', the James Bond sequel from MGM and Sony Pictures that is scheduled to hit theaters on Nov. 6.
As "Mission: Impossible 5' will be released this summer, it has been set to rival the thriller action film "Point Break' by Alcon Entertainment and Warner Bros. as well as the sports drama movie "Southpaw' starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Rachel McAdams and Forest Whitaker.
The last film, "Mission: Impossible- Ghost Protocol' that hit cinemas in December 2011, pulled in almost $650 million in the international box office.
Limited plot details have been announced about the upcoming installment, although the movie is said to have been set in different parts of the world.
Produced by Paramount Pictures and Bad Robot, Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation will come to 2D and IMAX theaters on July 31. The new trailer can be viewed below.
