"Supernatural' star Jared Padalecki returns to action after his recent breakdown forced the actor to take some time away from his public shows and events.
The 32-year-old actor has long been battling depression and has also made use of his celebrity status to promote awareness for mental illness.
Weeks ago, the former "Gilmore Girls' actor was touring with co-star Jensen Ackles to promote their hit series; however, midway through his scheduled appearances, Padalecki decided to come home and fans were alarmed by his cryptic tweet, saying: "I need all of the love I can get right now. Please please give me a few seconds of your time and write me. #AlwaysKeepFighting."
He also mentioned his great need to spend more time with his family and loved ones.
"Dear #JIBCON and #AHBL6. I am in desperate and urgent need of my family. I am so sorry to tell you this but I must head home," the actor further wrote.
The good news is that Padalecki has moved on from taking a break from his hectic schedule to going back to his list of scheduled events, including the ATX Television Festival's "Gilmore Girls' reunion panel last June 6.
"It's been amazing. I did reboot. I did have a chance to reboot, and it was amazing," Padalecki told US Weekly.
During such interview, the "House of Wax' actor explained how tensions in both his personal and professional lives added to his distress. Family and friends close to Padalecki, including his manager, also shared how the actor had been pushing himself too hard in the past months.
According to Padalecki himself, he got into the habit of focusing too much on work since he moved to Los Angeles and was 17 years old by then.
"The last summer, my life has changed a lot. I have a wife. I have two sons, [Shepherd and Thomas], and so I really needed a chance to just unplug," the actor further shared.
He also vowed to take a break and have some quality time for himself every year. Raising a family along with his career-related obligations began to put tremendous pressure on the actor.
As such, Padalecki came to realize how he has overlooked the process of caring for himself before the stress fell over him.
Despite earlier speculation, Jared Padalecki is set to return for "Supernatural' Season 11, when the hit series makes a comeback in October.
