HTC's One M9+ and One E9+ handsets can now be purchased by users in the U.S. through Amazon.
However, since the smartphones were not officially unveiled by HTC in the U.S., they do not work with the country's LTE network, according to Android Authority.
Both the One M9+ and One E9+ were released in May of this year exclusively for the Asian market. But now, through third party Amazon retailers, users in the U.S. can get their hands on the two smartphone models.
The One M9+ is available in gunmetal grey and silver gold color variants and is being sold for $799. As for the One E9+, the grey or rose white variant can be purchased for $499.
Since the handsets are being offered by third party sellers, it's no surprise that they are more expensive than their Asian counterparts. But, as pointed out by previous reports, the two models come with significantly better specs than HTC's flagship One M9.
Veering away from the One M9's 1080p display, the two devices sport Quad HD displays with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels. The two smartphones also have bigger displays at 5.2 inches for the One M9+ and 5.5 inches for the one E9+
In addition, the One M9+ is equipped with a fingerprint scanner, which is a feature that did not debut in HTC's current flagship handset.
Both devices have 3GB of RAM and run on the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.
Despite sporting high-end specs, users looking to purchase the One M9+ or One E9+ in the U.S. are strongly advised to check with the country's mobile carriers first. Since these two are still considered as international handsets, they have no CDMA frequency or LTE support.
In addition, they do not work with Verizon or Sprint's networks. As noted by Android Guys, the handsets are compatible with AT&T and T-Mobile's networks but only with selected frequency bands.
