Emma Roberts and Evan Peters broke a lot of hearts when they decided to split this year, but fans might still get to see the two stars reunite in the show "American Horror Story: Hotel."
The two have worked together in the third and fourth seasons of "American Horror Story" named "Coven" and" Freak Show," respectively, but since Roberts is busy shooting for Ryan Murphy's other show - the comedy horror "Scream Queens," her screen time in "Hotel" might be more limited than what fans would have liked.
"Emma is doing an arc on 'American Horror Story' at the end once 'Scream Queens' is done," Murphy told E! Online, "but we haven't figured it out totally yet. She loves the show and wanted to keep being a part of it, so she'll probably do two episodes? Not sure. Or maybe she'll be too exhausted from 'Scream Queens'...what with all that running from the killer!"
Peters, on the other hand, will once again be a season regular, just like in all of his "American Horror Story" stints, and Murphy said that the former couple might even do some scenes together.
"She comes at the end," he said. "She comes and she has a great thing with Evan Peters at the end."
Roberts and Peters reportedly ended their engagement in June. And even though most breakups are pretty harsh, with couples engaging in verbal wars and more, the stars from "American Horror Story" are quite different.
"Their three years together just ran its course. They have so many great memories together but couldn't make it work in the end," an insider told Just Jared. "The breakup was amicable-there was no drama whatsoever. Emma and Evan are even still friends!"
Aside from Peters and Roberts, "American Horror Story: Hotel" will also star Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, Wes Bentley, Chloe Sevigny, Cheyenne Jackson, Finn Wittrock, and Denis O'Hare. One of the show's biggest stars, Jessica Lange, has begged off involvement this season.
On the other hand, "Scream Queens," which will make its premiere on September 22 will have Roberts star as the mean sorority queen Chanel, and other cast members include Jamie Lee Curtis, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Nick Jonas, and Ariana Grande.
Murphy has teased that there will be one character death per episode, and despite its musically talented cast, the show will not feature any singing.
