AMC has released a brand-new "The Walking Dead" video in which actor Michael Cudlitz offers a brief glimpse of what is currently happening on the set of the first episode of season six.
In the footage, Culitz was shown coming up with short interviews with co-stars Danai Gurira, Maggie Cohan, Sonequa Martin-Green and more with which they all promised their viewers a more action-packed and seat-gripping sixth season of the hit series.
Earlier this week, AMC officially unveiled the key art for the new season and announced that the Comic-Con panel for "The Walking Dead' will take place on July 10, Friday, at 12:00 p.m. PDT in Hall H of the San Diego Convention Center.
To appear on banner ads in the actual convention from July 8-12, the "Walking Dead' official banner features the stars shown in the latest behind-the-scenes video, including Martin-Green as Sasha, Cohan as Maggie and Gurira as Michonne.
In the artwork, they have been joined by Andrew Lincoln as Rick, Chandler Riggs as Carl, Melissa McBride as Carol, Steven Yeun as Glenn, Norman Reedus as Daryl, Michael Cudlitz as Abraham, Josh McDermitt as Eugene, Alanna Masterson as Tara, Christian Serratos as Rosita and Lennie James as Morgan.
It will also include the actors who joined the series in season five, including Seth Gilliam as Father Gabriel, Tovah Feldshuh as Deanna, Ross Marquand as Aaron, Alexandra Breckenridge as Jesse, and Austin Nichols as Spencer.
Meanwhile, "The Walking Dead' has also begun adding to its cast for the upcoming season, with "Straight Outta Compton' star Corey Hawkins being the first actor to be confirmed. Hawkins has reportedly signed on to the program for a major comic book character.
Hawkins is set to portray a recurring role and will make his debut as Heath, a key member of the Alexandria Safe Zone, in season six.
His character is expected to become good friends with Glenn and a love interest to Denise. Introduced as a supply runner for the safe zone, Heath first appeared in the #69 issue of Robert Kirkman's comic book series.
Heath arrives in the series after Rick and his group of survivors arrived in Alexandria at the end of the fifth season. If the story will be mainly based on the comics, such location will be the longest-running community for these characters.
"The Walking Dead' has been set to return for its sixth season in October; an official premiere date is yet to be announced at this year's San Diego Comic-Con.
