New images of the OnePlus 2 suggest that the upcoming flagship handset might sport a dual-lens main camera.
Although the images are only sketches of the OnePlus One's successor, they provide a detailed look regarding some of the device's features.
The sketches, which were obtained by Business Insider, show off the front and back side of OnePlus' next smartphone.
Based on the handwritten labels on the sketches, the 2 will sport an 8-megapixel front camera. If this is true, then it could put the device ahead of other flagship handsets that come with a 5-megapixel front camera configuration.
Other details of the sketches reveal that the USB Type-C port will be located at the bottom of the device while the SIM card door will be placed on the left side.
The images showing the rear side of the OnePlus 2 indicate that the handset will house a dual-lens camera. Based on the images, this will be placed above the fingerprint sensor.
Other than the addition of a dual-lens rear camera and the fingerprint scanner, the OnePlus 2 basically looks like its predecessor. But, as previously noted by OnePlus, its upcoming flagship device will showcase better specs than the One.
The company already confirmed that the OnePlus 2 will feature high-end specs such as the USB Type-C port and an improved version of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 chipset. Also, the company boasted that the device's fingerprint scanner will be more efficient to operate than Apple's TouchID.
As for its display size, the company has not yet revealed the exact dimensions of the 2's screen. Previous rumors, however, suggested that it will feature either a 5.5 or 5.7-inch display.
The OnePlus 2 is scheduled to be unveiled on July 27 through a special virtual reality presentation. For the event, OnePlus will be giving away VR headsets, which are called OnePlus Cardboards, to 1000 lucky individuals.
