After announcing their divorce a day after their tenth wedding anniversary, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have taken their three children on a vacation to Bahamas.
According to US Weekly, the former couple took 9-year-old Violet, 6-year-old Seraphina and 3-year-old Samuel to their home in such famous island before news of their separation became viral.
A source also told the New York Post newspaper's Page Six: 'It was important for both Ben and Jen to get away from the media spotlight and spend quiet time with the kids."
Such actions have been associated with tips from the GOOP divorce handbook, which have also inspired actress Gywneth Paltrow and former husband Chris Martin to take on "conscious uncoupling' when they separated in March 2014.
Interestingly, Affleck's ex-girlfriend and Martin also took their children on a family vacation to Bahamas when they announced their own separation right after their marriage reached the ten-year mark.
Another insider spoke to PEOPLE about Affleck and Garner's divorce announcement , saying: 'The family felt it was important to be together and they were together. The family is united and, no matter what, will protect the kids."
The source also added that the divorce has not been easy for either Affleck or Garner and that the "Gone Girl' actor is "devastated."
"He [Affleck] loves his family and will always put them first,' the insider said.
With such relationship announcement being a huge shock to Hollywood this week, there has been much hearsay about the end of their decade-long marriage.
Problems between the couple reportedly got "bigger" as the years went by. Nonetheless, the couple was said to have tried everything they could to put the divorce on hold and put back together the pieces of their relationship, including regular visits to a marriage counselor.
Furthermore, the "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' star and Garner made sure that their kids would be out of the country when their decision for a divorce made the headlines this past week.
Aside from being deemed as a good parenting choice, such action was also suggestive of the former couple's commitment towards making their separation as friendly as possible for the sake of their children.
In a joint statement released last week, Affleck and Garner shared that they plan to "go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time."
Moreover, to further demonstrate their awareness of co-parenting, the former "Daredevil' co-stars will reportedly continue to live together after their divorce is finalized. Affleck will stay on the same property but live in a separate house.
