Various sources have revealed the possible specs of the LG's G Pro 3 phablet.
Although LG has not yet addressed the reports concerning its alleged upcoming device, the leaks strongly suggest that the South Korean tech giant has re-focused its attention to its G Pro line.
Rumors about the LG G Pro 3 first emerged last year shortly after the release of its predecessor. But then, in December of 2014, it was reported that LG has shifted its attention away from its phablet series to work on its flagship handset.
But since LG's current brand-carrier, the G4, came out in April and is now thriving in the market, insiders claimed that the company is once again ready to develop its other products.
According to the latest rumors, LG's upcoming device is the G Pro 3 phablet. Mobipicker reported that the handset will feature a 6-inch display with a 1440x2560 pixel resolution. It is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 820 chipset from Qualcomm and could pack 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The device's native memory can be expanded through the use of a microSD card.
For its camera configuration, the G Pro 3 will house a 20.7-megapixel rear shooter and an 8-megapixel selfie snapper.
In terms of its other features, sources claimed that the phablet will run on the stock Android 5.1 OS. In addition, the device will be equipped with a fingerprint scanner, a security feature which is quickly becoming a common addition to most high-end devices.
As for its release date, there are no official announcements yet from LG regarding the device's debut. However, according to reports, the G Pro 3 is expected to come out later this year with a retail price of $790, GSM Arena has learned.
Despite the detailed information regarding the upcoming device, readers should take note that these are all based on rumors and claims of insiders.
