Race has been quite a sensitive and highly controversial issue nowadays, and it appears that even "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star Kylie Jenner is not immune to this social concern. Minutes after posting a selfie showing off her corn rows on social media, the reality star was immediately attacked by none other than "Hunger Games" actress Amandla Stenberg, according to Us Weekly. The latter claims that Jenner simply uses "black features and culture" for superficial matters, such as looking fashionable during a certain event, and fails to take advantage of her status in society to help remedy the issues concerning the widely discriminated members of the black community.

The disputed photograph shows Jenner posting in what could be assumed is her workout outfit - an ensemble made up of grey Nike sweatpants with a matching cropped top of the same color. Pouting for the camera, the youngest sister of the Kardashians captioned the Instagram picture with "I woke like disss (sic)." Though seemingly harmless initially, the post soon became viral when Stenberg stepped into the picture.

The brewing social media feud began when a comment on Jenner's post included the hashtag #whitegirlsdoitbetter. Stenberg then responded to the Instagram user and consequently bashed the social media post of the reality star herself. The "Hunger Games" actress wrote, "When u appropriate black features and culture but fail to use ur position of power to help black Americans by directing attention towards ur wigs instead of police brutality or racism #whitegirlsdoitbetter."

Prior to this presumed attack on Caitlyn Jenner's youngest daughter, Stenberg had launched an explanation of "appropriation" of black culture in terms of the celebrities of today. She posted the said elucidation via Tumblr and titled the post "Don't Cash Crop My Cornrows - a crash discourse on black culture." To provide the listeners a better perspective of her explanation, Stenberg first provided a clarification on the meaning of "appropriation."

"Appropriation occurs when a style leads to racist generalizations or stereotypes where it originated but is deemed as high-fashion, cool or funny when the privileged take it for themselves," Stenberg explained in the clip. Before her recent tirade against Jenner, the actress already criticized Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry for allegedly exploiting the black culture for fame and fortune, according to Stuff.co.nz. "Hip-hop stems from a black struggle; it stems from jazz and blues, styles of music African-Americans created to retain humanity in the face of adversity," the actress said in the Tumblr clip." She added, "On a smaller scale, but in a similar vein, braids and cornrows are not merely stylistic. They're necessary to keep black hair neat."

For her part, Jenner decided to simply shrug off the attack and responded with a brief post: "Mad if I don't, Mad if I do ... Go hang w Jaden or something." While culture related issues are raised by Stenberg, some fans believe that her dig against Jenner may be directly due to the latter's involvement with Jaden Smith. It could be recalled that the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star was romantically involved with Will Smith's son a few years back. At the moment, Jaden is currently linked to Stanberg whom he brought to prom earlier this year.
