The Starks are being killed off season after season, but there are still a few of them left. "Game of Thrones" showrunners Dan Weiss and David Benioff decided to leave off Bran Stark, the youngest of Ned and Caitlyn's children during season five, but now his character will reappear for season six.
Isaac Hempstead Wright, the actor who plays the cripple Bran has confirmed with the Irish Examiner that his character will be back next season with even more visions.
"I can't say a lot but I am back this season, and it's going to get particularly interesting with Bran. He has some interesting visions," he said.
The last people saw of Bran, he and his small party have just reached the Weirwood tree beyond the wall when they were suddenly attacked by wights. Jojen was killed trying to protect Bran, but the rest survived and Bran was able to meet a member of the Children of the Forest and the Three-Eyed Raven.
Benioff explained that cutting Bran from the season five storyline was to give the other characters in the series a chance to catch up on the same timeline, since Bran's story moved faster than anyone else's.
"The fact is, even though we're making changes to the books and adapting as necessary, we're trying to keep the various storylines the same as the books and trying to keep them roughly chronologically parallel," Benioff said.
While Wright was quick to confirm Bran's return for the next season, he was more hesitant in divulging any new information regarding his character's half-brother Jon Snow, who was killed off by his brothers from the Night's Watch during the season five finale.
Snow's fate is tricky business, and the actor who plays him, Kit Harrington has insisted that Snow really is dead and will not be back for season six, and his statement is supported by Benioff and Weiss, who have said that Snow really is dead and will stay that way, no matter what fans might think.
A lot of fans are holding out hope that he will find his way back to "Game of Thrones;" after all, he is one of the series' most popular and well-loved characters. Everybody involved in the show has either kept mum about his true fate or dismissed any chance of his survival.
It was only Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen in the series who provided hope to fans, saying that he has a "50/50" chance of Snow returning to the show.
