The video game adaptation of the upcoming film "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation," is now available for iOS and Android devices.
It can be downloaded for free through Apple's App Store and Google Play.
Developed by the studio Glu, the mobile game follows the same storyline as its unreleased big-screen counterpart.
The "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation" game is a mix between first-person and third-person shooter perspectives. Like in the film, the game lets players take on the role of an agent for the IMF as they go on missions to take down the mysterious and dangerous organization dubbed as the Syndicate.
It also features various locations used in the film such as London, Vienna and Morocco.
The missions in the game vary depending on their objectives such as infiltrating enemy bases, taking out target or assassinating a single high-profile character.
Gamers can either take on the enemy in a head-on attack or use stealth to accomplish their objectives. They can equip their characters using a variety of weapons ranging from throwing knives to assault rifles and rocket launchers.
Aside from the main missions, the game also has a multiplayer mode that allows players to team up with other gamers to form their own IMF agencies. As a single unit, they can share their resources with one another and team up to accomplish missions.
Another mode of the game lets players attack each others' IMF headquarters to steal their collected items and resources. They can also defend their bases using fortification upgrades and various weapons including drones to ward off attacking forces.
The "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation" mobile game for Android and iOS devices officially came out earlier this month and can be downloaded for free through Google and Apple's respective app stores.
Although the game itself is free, it has various in-app purchases that gamers will probably need to buy in order to accomplish missions and increase their stats. The cost of these in-game items range from $4.99 to $49.99.
