Controversial singer Miley Cyrus has just confirmed that she will be hosting this year's VMAs, and the "Wrecking Ball" star did it as usual pizzazz by posting the announcement with her tongue stuck out.
On her Twitter page, Cyrus shared two photos - one was of a green alien carrying a cardboard sign saying "MTV won't let me perform." In the next photo, the alien's mask was removed and showed Cyrus with her eyes closed and tongue stuck out. She is pointing towards the signboard on her neck that said, "So I'm hosting this year's VMAs."
She then captioned the photos "...yeah VMAs!!!!! #VMAs on @MTV Aug 30 at 9pm."
Her fans seem to think that Cyrus hosting the VMAs this year is a brilliant idea, and they are certain that she will deliver a lot of fun and excitement during the show.
"Yeeeeeeees!! Miley Cyrus hosting VMA's? Pure awesomeness, it's gonna be amazeballz," someone commented on her post.
Another fan wrote, "This will be amazing with you hahahahhaa because you're crazy!"
Meanwhile, another fan cannot help but admit that Cyrus is "going a little crazy," but noted that the singer is "still awesome."
Back in 2013, Cyrus' performance with "Blurred Lines" singer Robin Thicke really became the talk of the town especially since her raunchy dance move was frowned upon by a lot of people, particularly young fans who idolized Cyrus during her "Hannah Montana" days.
Wearing nothing but a gold bikini and white shoes, Cyrus twerked in front of Thicke while he was singing, causing people to question just how far she's changed since her wholesome Disney days. While her career was just starting, Cyrus proclaimed love for God and credited her Christian faith for giving her strength amidst life's trials.
Now, things could not be more different. During a recent interview with Paper magazine, Cyrus claimed that she is the "least judgmental person ever" but called Noah's Ark and other Bible stories fairy tales, adding that people with conservative views on marriage should not be allowed to make laws.
Cyrus' favor with the public easily ping-pongs from positive to negative and the singer is never lacking of surprising acts. Back in 2014, when she won the VMAs' Video of the Year award, she invited homeless man Jesse Helt to accept the award on her behalf in an effort to raise awareness on the plights faced by the homeless people in America.
