Zombie disappearances? Negative side effects to the zombie cure? These are just some of the few things that will be tackled by "iZombie" once it returns to the small screen on October 6, 2015, and show creator Rob Thomas is already teasing that there will be a lot of mysteries to solve once season two rolls about.

Everybody already found out that the sports drink company Max Rager is responsible for starting the zombie contagion, and now they are doing everything in their power to keep people from finding out about the truth.

"Essentially, Max Rager has decided it's in their business interests to eliminate all the zombies in Seattle. Suddenly, zombies are going to start disappearing," said Thomas, according to Screen Rant. "And one of the things that will result in will be Liv and Blaine becoming very strange bedfellows as they are trying to thwart the same problem. It's in neither of their interests for zombies to start disappearing from Seattle."

To recall, one of the things that has gotten the Seattle police stumped is the fact that a lot of homeless youth disappeared in season one, and Detective Clive is determined to get into the bottom of it, even after Lieutenant Suzuki already pinned down their disappearances to a drug ring "in a neat little bow."

"Clive is not satisfied with the investigation into the homeless youth murders. Clive is not going to let go of that," assured Thomas. "So we'll have this creeping investigation by Clive that, of course, will point back eventually towards Major and Blaine being involved."

Last but not the least, before season one wrapped up, Liv sacrificed Ravi's remaining cure to turn Blaine back into a human. She used the other half of the cure to save her former fiancé Major as well, after he called her selfish for turning him into a zombie.

But Thomas warned that the cure is still untested, and Blaine and Major will definitely be suffering from its side effects during the first few episodes of season two.

"That was a very untested cure and it will have side effects that will come into play pretty significantly with Blaine," he shared. "You'll see one of the side effects right away and over the course of the season you'll see more of them."

The rat who survived the cure is still alive too, so through the rat, Blaine and Major will be having a "preview" of what might happen to them next.
