T.J. Dillashaw faces Renan Barao for the second time for a Bantamweight UFC Rematch at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois on Saturday, July 25. The match can be watched live at 5 p.m. PT and 8 p.m. ET on FOX.
The last time Dillashaw and Barao met was on May 2015 at the MGM Grand Gardena Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dillashaw was the underdog.
Dillashaw knocked down Barao twice, make 169 strikes, and attempted 2 submissions. Barao made no knock downs and 68 strikes.
"Dillashaw proceeded to prove just about everybody wrong by decimating Barao with a knockdown in the first round and then repeating that kind of dominance throughout the rest of the fight before mercifully putting an end to the Brazilian in the fifth and final round," reported FOX.
Both fighters are 5'6" and weigh 135 lbs. American fighter Dillashaw is a black belt in Bang Muay Thai. Brazilian fighter Barao is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
29-year-old Dillashaw is the current Bantamweight title holder. He seeks to defend his title, as Barao seeks to win back the belt.
