"Fantastic Four" will open in theaters worldwide in just a couple of days, but its stars already have some exciting ideas as to where they want the Josh Trank reboot to head over to next; to be more exact, the stars revealed just who they want their characters to come face to face with in the sequel.
Jamie Bell, who plays Ben Grimm or "The Thing" told Comic Book that he wants to see "more of a family dynamic in the sequel.
"I'd like to see more of how the characters interact with each other famously from the comic," Bell said. "It would be appealing to me. This one very much is to get them to that point, to take them from people you don't know, to transition into characters you can recognize. The job of the next film is taking it further and having the characters already established, seeing them interact in the very famous kind of way. Things between me and Johnny get very antagonistic. More of a blossoming love story between Reed and Sue. Stuff like that would be great."
Bell added that there is a "wealth" of material for them to use that a 90 minute movie just won't cut it, but he hopes it can be further explored in the sequel.
As for the villains, Bell wants the Fantastic Four to face the Silver Surfer next, after they defeat Doctor Doom. "You can't get away from Silver Surfer. I know chronologically speaking that was the next villain in the previous franchise but I think Silver Surfer is cool looking," Bell said.
As for Michael B. Jordan, who plays Johnny Storm or the Human Torch would like them to contend with Namor, even though their opposition is very unlikely from a business standpoint.
"Namor is a cool one," Jordan said, adding that he is, "by far, he's the strongest mutant. You know what I'm saying? Maybe not by far, but he's the strongest mutant. It would be a pretty interesting battle, the Fantastic Four vs. Namor."
The "Fantastic Four" reboot belongs to 20th Century Fox while Namor belongs to Universal Studios, so it's unlikely that he would be battling them anytime soon. However, Jordan cannot help but hold out hope that this could happen.
As a huge comic book fan, the actor already knows a specific Namor storyline they could pursue. "The classic one where he's running rampant and the only way he'll stop is if he gets a kiss from Sue right in front of Reed. It's awesome. I think that would make for a good movie and storyline," Jordan said.
