The full features of the upcoming Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus devices from Samsung have been revealed through leaked images of their spec sheets.
Although it is not yet confirmed if these are authentic, many of the listed details confirmed previous rumors about the two devices.
According to the information revealed by Chinese tech site Antutu via GforGames, Samsung's upcoming flagship phablet will come with a 5.7-inch display with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels. It will house a 16-megapixel main camera paired with a 5-megapixel selfie snapper.
The image also revealed that the Galaxy Note 5 will be powered by the Exynos 7420 chipset, which is the same model running in Samsung's current flagship handsets, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. This detail debunks previous rumors claiming that the unreleased phablet will come with an upgrade processor, such as the Exynos 7422.
Also, the device will pack 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Previously leaked images of the phablet, however, revealed that it will not have a slot for a microSD card. This means the device's native memory cannot be expanded.
For its OS, the Galaxy Note 5 is expected to come with the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop as its stock platform.
The Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, on the other hand, will have a slightly smaller display size than the Galaxy Note 5 at 5.5 inches. It will have a 2K screen resolution with a pixel density of 534 ppi.
But, like the upcoming phablet, the direct successor of the Galaxy S6 Edge will also feature a 16-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. It will also be powered by the Exynos 7420 octa-core chipset. It will have 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
As noted in Antutu's leaked spec sheets, the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus performed better in benchmark tests than Samsung's current flagship smartphones. Both scored 69,702 and 68,345 points respectively. The Galaxy S6, on the other hand, got 67,520 while its Edge variant received 63,910 points.
The Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus are both expected to be introduced by Samsung during its upcoming Unpacked event happening on August 13 in New York. Although the South Korean tech firm has not yet revealed the official details of the event, various hints such as a teaser image of a curved display points to the launch of the two devices, according to GSM Arena.
