The summer finale for "Teen Wolf' season five will bring on a crucial challenge for Scott (Tyler Posey) and his pack as they deal with their toughest opponent so far.
Certain things have been out of control for the Beacon Hills students as the fifth season unfolded, including the arrival of Dread Doctors. Parrish (Ryan Kelley) was forced to take and burn the bodies of all their chimeras, while the strong bond between Scott and Stiles (Dylan O' Brien) has also been greatly tested this season.
The previous episode showed moments that "Teen Wolf' had been dreading to happen - Scott learning that Stiles had killed Donovan (Ashton Moio).
Although Stiles asked for forgiveness and attempted to persuade Scott in believing that Donovan's loss was in self-defense, his friend did not budge.
"We can't kill those we're trying to protect," Scott says, making Stiles more mad as he has not been able to come up to Scott's True Alpha ideal. Subsequently, Scott kicks Stiles out of the pack, making things a lot worse.
"Teen Wolf' season five, episode 10 is titled "Status Asthmaticus,' and is set to air on Tuesday, Aug. 24 on MTV.
The title is suggestive of more problems for the pack as Status Asthmaticus refers to constant asthma attacks. As such, Scott's asthma-related concerns are apparently not over yet; several episodes ago, his scary attacks had given him and his pack a jolt.
"With both lives and friendships on the verge of being destroyed, Scott and his pack are going to face their greatest enemy yet," the official synopsis states.
The summary of the upcoming episode highlights the possibility of Scott and Stiles' relationship being destroyed, although fans are still looking forward for the duo to find a way to fix their issues in the summer finale.
Meanwhile, "Teen Wolf' showrunner Jeff Davis recently opened up about the ongoing fifth season of the MTV supernatural drama, stating that it was meant to be the last one.
During his appearance on Artist Alley Podcast, Davis answered a question about the future of the hit series, and the podcast host was mainly concerned about learning whether Scott (Tyler Posey) and his pack will ever make it to a high school graduation.
"We're still debating that because, I have to be honest, I thought season five was it. I thought we were ending," replied Davis, who officially announced the "Teen Wolf' season 6 renewal at last month's San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC).
"I have no idea what's going to happen with season six," Davis added, quipping, "I have no idea if I'll be alive after 5B."
