Game publisher 2K Sports has recently included 21 wrestlers to the massive playable roster of the upcoming "WWE 2K16" game.
The new additions include WWE Hall of Famers such as Andre the Giant, Sergeant Slaughter and "Macho Man" Randy Savage.
Joining the three legendary athletes are Aiden English, Batista, Chris Jericho, Fandango, Edge, Curtis Axel, John "Bradshaw" Layfield, Natalya, Ravishing Rick Rude, Erick Rowan, Luke Harper, R-Truth, Ryback, Simon Gotch, Santino Marella, Stephanie McMahon, The Rock and the Undertaker.
These characters will be part of the game's impressive roster composed of 120 wrestlers. As Gamespot noted, this makes "WWE 2K16" as the game with the biggest playable roster in the history of the series.
But WWE wrestlers are not the only characters that gamers can play as in the game. In July, 2K Sports announced that it will include the iconic cyborg villain from the "Terminator" film series as a bonus for those who will pre-order the game, according to Digital Trends.
According to the studio, the pre-order bonus will include Arnold Schwarzenegger's classic Terminator from the 1984 film as well as the second version featured in the sequel "Terminator 2: Judgment Day."
Originally, Hulk Hogan was supposed to appear in the game but was dropped from a list after a leaked sex tape showed the retired wrestler making racist remarks.
Aside from the characters, 2K Sports announced last month the list of that will be included in the game's soundtrack. Based on the list, the upcoming wrestling-simulation title will feature songs from various genres such as hip-hop, country, heavy metal and electronic dance, according to an update from the studio's official website.
Some of the songs include "Rebel Yell" from Billy Idol, "It's Tricky" from Run-DMC, "Youth Gone Wild" by Skid Row, "Revolution" by Diplo featuring Fustix and Imanos and Kai, "Deep Six" by Marilyn Manson and "Till It's Gone" Dan Heath Remix from Yelawolf.
"Music plays a vital role in the WEE Universe, from WWE Superstars and Diva ring entrances to official pay-per-view themes, and inherently evokes WWE memories and emotions in all of us," 2K's Vice President of Marketing Chris Snyder said in a press release.
"The 'WWE 2K16' soundtrack delivers a premium entertainment experience and is certain to raise some hell through its notable worldwide names and multiple music genres," the executive added.
"WWE 2K16" is scheduled to come out for the North American market on October 27 and will arrive in Europe on October 30. It will be available for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One platforms.
For this year's upcoming game, 2K Sports decided to go with the Rattlesnake Stone Cold Steve Austin as its cover athlete.
