"Avengers: Age of Ultron" actress for Scarlet Witch Elizabeth Olsen is not dating "Thor" villain actor Tom Hiddleston, who is also her co-star in the film "I Saw the Light."
The 26-year-old actress and the 34-year old actor were first rumored to be dating in May after they were spotted enjoying each other's company during a dinner date.
However, Olsen said that people should not read too much into it.
"I mean, we definitely are friends and we've known each other for about four years. And we happened to be at a restaurant at a wrong time having dinner," she told Refinery29 at the Toronto International Film Festival. "We all go out to dinner."
But Hiddleston isn't the only one who is being linked to her. The superhero newcomer has actually been linked to two of her "Avengers: Age of Ultron" co-stars in the past.
"Apparently, I'm dating Chris Evans, and apparently, I've dated Jeremy Renner, so I guess that...I don't react to it," she said.
When asked again if she's dating Hiddleston, Olsen insisted: "No. I mean, people can think what they want to think."
During that same interview, Olsen also talked about Scarlet Witch's involvement in the next Marvel film "Captain America: Civil War."
"She's in a place where she has nothing, and she's in conflict about what she thinks she should be doing, and where she is, and who she is. I get to continue to play a kind of wild card. That's awesome for me," she said. "That's a great position to be in for one of those films."
Olsen is very happy that Marvel is incorporating more and more strong female roles into their movies instead of just providing love interests for their superheroes. Even though the characters do develop an attraction towards one another, they can still stand on their own without the romantic aspect.
"I actually think they write amazing women. I think the women exist on their own. I think if there ends up being a love interest for any of them, it's not making them a love interest in a story. It's just part of humanity. Everyone is trying to find a mate," she said. "That's kind of just how the world has been created. So for a superhero to not want that is kind of strange. For me, I love the way they write my character. I love what happens."
