"God, who never changes! God, who speaks to me even in this moment! I thank you that you have allowed me to begin this morning with your word. For I believe that if the word stands firmly within me, so too will my life. Would you help me to live a life that regards your word with a pure, soft, and humble heart.
God, you taught Ezekiel a lesson by having him first eat your words (purpose), that through it becoming a part of his life, he may genuinely proclaim the gospel (Ezekiel 2:1-10). I accept this lesson as my own -- one that you've spoken to me. As I look back on times when I could not share the gospel, afraid of others' opposition and persecution, I pray that I may be able to boldly proclaim your word, understanding how your heart breaks for the world.
May today be another day in which God's word is not modified because of my concern for others and selfishness. My desire is to receive your word with a pure heart and faithfully follow and share the truth. Would you help me to live a life that is led by the word and glorifies the Lord at all times. In Jesus' name I pray, amen."
