Jared Padalecki recently took to Instagram to share a sweet image of himself and his wife Genevieve Cortes on their wedding day. The "Supernatural' actor met his partner on the set of the TV series and exchanged vows in 2010 in Sun Valley, Idaho.
After five years, the former co-stars are now sharing two sons- three-year-old Thomas and 1-year-old Shepherd.
Padalecki has often been open about his personal life. The 33-year-old actor shared his struggles with anxiety and depression, explaining that as a young Hollywood actor, he had to cope with stress by "working and [keeping] my head down. Just work, work, work. Read, study, go to class. Go to auditions, meet with agents. And finally it all caught up."
Now, the former 'Gilmore Girls' actor is raising awareness for mental illness and has launched a charity T-shirt campaign, which has already gained considerable success, for the benefit of mental health organization To Write Love on Her Arms.
Padalecki has also teamed up with Jensen Ackles, and the co-stars have already come up with a joint fund to support a number of causes that include mental illness, among others.
Ackles previously shared his personal goals and intentions for being involved in charity. He also pointed out how he had supported Padalecki in recovering from a "dark road" while filming the third installment of "Supernatural.'
"He went down this kind of dark road, mentally, and he was very fortunate to have people around him," Ackles recalled. "It wasn't just me. I mean, I happened to be maybe a stronger voice in the whole thing but he had friends, crew people, producers, friends, family."
Meanwhile, as the "Supernatural' season 11 premiere draws near, Padalecki has already opened up about the upcoming episodes, including one which focuses on the Impala.
"It's all about the Impala. We've had this third lead character for 10 seasons strong and, we're not revealing a personality, but we see just how much a part of the Winchesters' lives it is," he shared.
Their sibling relationship will also be strengthened as Sam and Dean will be united once more to battle it out with the same target during a major apocalyptic event.
In comparison to the past seasons installments, Ackles regarded the upcoming season as a "bit of a throwback to maybe season one or season two," when the brothers had fewer fights with each other and had often united to fight for humanity as a pair.
"Supernatural' season 11 is set for a premiere on Oct. 7 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
