Everything concerning the "Harry Potter" spinoff "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is being held under tight wraps, and even though lead stars such as Eddie Redmayne and Katherine Waterston want to spill the beans concerning the plot and movie details, they have been kept from doing so.
During a recent interview with Variety, Redmayne, who plays "magizoologist" Newt Scamander said that even he himself wasn't able to get a copy of the film's script until he signed his name on the contract, and this is why he is not allowed to share any more details about their production.
"I'm on censorship mode about what I'm allowed to say," he said.
There were a couple of times he spoke to "Harry Potter" author and scriptwriter J.K. Rowling, and he used the opportunity to get his fill of details about "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them."
"She was having to run off," he shared, "and I bombarded her with questions on the character."
As for Waterston, who plays Tina, which is short for Porpentina, the actress agreed with Redmayne that they are strictly prohibited from talking about the film.
She even joked that her life would be at risk should she reveal spoilers that she isn't supposed to. "Yeah, I always think that. Snipers everywhere. Yeah, it's set in the '20s in New York, and, um, you know the cast. The cast is incredible. And it's really fun, we've been shooting for, I don't know, six weeks now and it's a ball, and that's all I can tell you," she laughingly told Cinema Blend. "I'm sure I can tell you a little bit more, but I'm just so afraid that, you know, I'm gonna get shot in the head. So I'm just gonna leave it at that."
Tina will meet Scamander when he visits New York in search of magical creatures to write for his textbook "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them."
Redmayne and Waterston will be joined by "Transparent" actress Alison Sudol, who plays Tina's sister Queenie; Tony winner Dan Fogler as Jacob; "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" star Ezra Miller as Credence; "Sweet and Lowdon" actress Samantha Morton as Mary Lou; "Brooklyn" actress Jenn Murray as Chastity; and newcomer Faith Wood-Blagrove as Modesty.
Meanwhile, "True Detective" actor Colin Farrell will also be joining them as Graves.
"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" will be shown in cinemas on November 18, 2016.
