"God, we thank you that you have called us your holy bride and that you receive the glory when we maintain our purity and diligence. Through today's passage, we receive your word"”that your will for us is to remain holy, rid ourselves of lust, not give into sexual desires, and prepare for the Lord's return and the resurrection of the saved, leading pure and diligent lives (1 Thess 4:1-18).
We ask that today we may live lives of brotherly love and diligence that pleases you. Would you reign over our lives with your word and spirit so that we may confess all the sins we've committed according to our physical desires, and wholeheartedly follow after your teachings and lead. Help us to live a life of purity and leave behind lustful thoughts and actions.
Would you help us to live with even more purity, to love more, and to more diligently lead our lives, hoping for the day we would be eternally united with our Lord. As we desire to exert our utmost today with the Lord's help, we pray in Jesus' name. Amen."
