It is easy for any actor or actress to be unnerved when they get cast in big budget movies or franchises, but not "Hannibal" star Mads Mikkelsen.
When the actor got cast in the "Star Wars" spinoff movie "Star Wars: Rogue One," he did not waste any time dwelling if he would be a good fit for the movie or not, and instead focused on how he could work on embodying his new character.
"It is a big thing (being a part of 'Star Wars'), but so was 'Hannibal' and so was Bond. The thing is, we don't go to change the 'thing' about it. We address it as a job. We focus on the character and start working," he told IGN during an interview.
"We also are aware that it's the 'Star Wars' universe. We are aware," he clarified. "But that hat, we can't wear all the time. We have to focus on each individual scene. So I think this is one of these things that will dawn on you later when you actually see the film. In the midst of it, it's a different thing."
When his interviewer asked if "Star Wars: Rogue One" will take a different tone and direction, Mikkelsen answered: "I believe that is true to a degree. It's still the 'Star Wars' universe, but there is... There might be a personal take on that from (director) Gareth (Edwards), as well. And it should be like that, right?"
His involvement in "Star Wars: Rogue One" is cloaked in mystery and secrecy, and this is why Mikkelsen is concerned that he will be reprimanded for giving away any spoilers.
"And tomorrow you will find me dead in a river somewhere because I said that," he jokingly said.
Another project of the actor that is filled with secrets is the 2017 Marvel film "Doctor Strange," which will star "Sherlock" actor Benedict Cumberbatch as the title character.
It will also star Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Rachel McAdams. Mikkelsen's role in the film still remains under wraps, but he teased that he will be working on it very soon.
"I haven't shot anything yet. So I've been spending my time running rehearsal on all kind of things. That is probably the reason why you will see me shot tomorrow - is for saying that," he teased once again.
"Star Wars: Rogue One" will be released on December 16, 2016.
