Korea's OSEN reported that the pop star Nichole, a member of the popular K-pop group "KARA" has signed a contract with B2M Entertainment, which is well-known as the agency of the legendary female K-pop star, Lee Hyo-Ri.
Many of "KARA"'s fans have been expressing a great deal of curiosity about Nichole's upcoming career. B2M Entertainment insiders have revealed that she had in fact had a close friendship with the company's head producer, Jong-Hwa Kil. They revealed that Nichole preferred to work with an agency she knew she could trust rather than the benefits and options she could receive in the end, and told the press that she had known Kil ever since she was a rookie.
A representative of the agency gave some details about some things both B2M and the artist had to keep in mind before the contract was sealed. It turns out that Nichole, while negotiating with the agency did not ask for any specific requests since she already believed she could trust Kil and B2M Entertainment would do all they could to support her in her upcoming solo career.
The company however, aware of Nichole's popularity while she was still an active member of the girl group, "KARA" noted that she should get the respect she deserves. "KARA", alongside "Big Bang" (YG Family) and "Girls' Generation" (SM Entertainment) are one of the major K-pop groups that not only dominated the Korean charts but even captured the hearts of fans in China and Japan. If all goes according to plan, Nichole should be ready to make a comeback by the end of 2014.
B2M Entertainment was founded by Jonh-hwa Kim and debuted many popular K-pop stars including the solo singer Lee-Hyo-Ri, the new girl group "Spika", and Eric Nam.
Nichole made her debut into the Korean entertainment business as a member of the K-pop group "KARA". The group was first formed in 2007 by DSP Media, and was composed of Gyuri Park, Seungyeon Han, Hara Goo, and Youngji Heo. The group first started as a quartet with only 4 members. Nichole Jung, a Koran-American member was brought into the group later.
"KARA" was not well-received in their debut, but later in 2008 they became popular with the song "Rock U", and "Honey" in 2009. They continued to produce many hit songs including "Mister" and "Lupin" in 2010. In 2014, however, members Nichole and Jiyoung Kang decided not to continue their contracts with DSP Media.
