Diem Brown Dies At 32

A warrior has been laid to rest after fighting a long hard battle.

MTV reality star Diem Brown has finally succumbed to cancer on Friday. The dreadful news broke the hearts of many as countless fans had followed her tumultuous path battling cancer since 2006. She was 32.

Prior to her passing, Brown was scheduled for another round of chemotherapy on Tuesday. The session was scheduled in an effort to shrink the tumors as her condition worsened. Seeking support from her fans during this trying period, Brown turned to Twitter and Instagram with this message: "I NEED prayers and advice. My doctors are seemingly giving up but I won't & can't roll over. Whatever option I have to LIVE I'm grabbing."

In another Instagram post, Alicia Quarles, Brown's friend and fellow reporter, reinforced the plea for prayers and support. She wrote, "We both believe in the power of prayer. She's asked that I ask all of you to pray for her. God is good. Diem would like a huge prayer circle. I reassured her she has one. Diem smiled and told me, a little reminder never hurts."

The recent diagnosis had been Brown's third bout with cancer. In 2006 and 2012, she was diagnosed to be suffering from ovarian cancer. Despite the news, Brown bravely proclaimed that she will "beat cancer again". However, medical professionals revealed that the cancer already reached her stomach lining and colon.

Brown was also the founder of MedGift, a website aimed at funding the treatments of those in need of medical care. She was an entertainment reporter, as well as part of the show 'The Challenge'. Her stepping stone towards the limelight had been the 2006 MTV reality show called 'Real World/Road Rules Challenge: Fresh Meat'.

In an official statement released by MTV, Brown was hailed as a "true fighter" and someone who "brought passion to everything she touched".
